About Us
Why We Invest in Real Estate
|
The real estate business is a hobby that grew. It started as a personal venture to diversify retirement income. Having worked in the mutual fund investment business, we understood the benefits of being diversified. However, mutual funds really have very limited diversification when looked at closely. In researching how to improve our retirement portfolio, we felt real estate investing had a lot of benefits over other investments. |

| When we started our real estate investor journey, we knew nothing about real estate investing. It was through regularly attending numerous real estate club meetings, reading piles of books, going to as many free seminars as we could find and paying for some, and talking to other investors that we navigated and continue to navigate our personal real estate investment journey. |

Knowledge has been the key for us to determine how we personally want to handle our real estate business. In the process of acquiring numerous properties in several states, we branched out to helping others learn and invest in real estate. We feel it is as important to know the types of opportunities out there, what our interests are and what they are not. With this in mind, we hope you find this site useful to explore various avenues of real estate investing and find your niche.

After exploring wholesale real estate, bird-dogging, flipping, buy and hold, and short sales, we decided that buy and hold was the best strategy for retirement. We looked at residential, commercial, apartments, and land. Our personal comfort level was single family homes at the start, and we are now branching into apartments. Since we intend to hold for the long term, we have focused on new and newer construction, however we have not ruled out rehabbing properties.
Real estate investing is a journey and growth experience. We may be surprised where it leads, but that is part of the excitement for us, and hopefully, for you too.

There are many ways to be a real estate investor – buy and hold, flipping, wholesaling, lending, tax liens, commercial, residential, and the list goes on. No one way is necessarily better than another – it’s a personal preference. All can be very successful since any system that is consistently worked will provide results. However, with all the options it may be difficult to determine which one is right for you.
